After retiring as an elementary school teacher of 32 years, with a stroke of good luck I found myself at a potter’s wheel with teacher, Peggy Alonas. It was love at first touch. Each spinning ball of clay exudes such exciting potential. This conversation between earth and hands opened a new world for me. I began with traditional lines, but soon I was looking to create organic shapes and glazes, keeping myself inspired and creative. Every vessel I create is unique, with a story to tell. I believe that each vessel is a collaboration between the two of us; that ball of clay and my vision for it.
